Will Preston visit the venue before the event?

It’s not typically necessary to include Preston on a site visit prior to the event, unless there are some special load in / set up challenges to overcome. However, a walk through can be scheduled if deemed necessary.

What time will Preston arrive to set up?

Preston calculates his set up time based on the services contracted and always plans to be set up 1 hour prior to guest arrival.

Where is the best place to put the DJ?

It’s recommend setting the DJ somewhere near the dancefloor and visible to most of the guests. Some clients like the idea of a DJ on a riser/stage but we think putting the bride and groom as the center of attention is more appropriate for a wedding, however we are flexible.

When are payments due?

The deposit is due when you are ready to book Preston for your event, along with the signed contract. The final payment is due 14 days prior to the event date.

How do I reserve Preston's services?

In order to reserve Preston for your event, a signed contract and deposit is due. The deposit is 50% of the services requested. Additional services can be added to the contract up to 2 weeks prior to the event date. The balance is due 14 days prior to the event date.

What will Preston wear to the Wedding?

Traditionally Preston will wear a black suit with either a black, white or gray shirt. In some situations, clients have requested Preston's attire to be more casual. Most attire requests can be accommodated.

Can we visit Preston at a wedding?

Out of respect for the privacy of others on their special day, We do not permit prospective clients to “drop in” on a wedding. We hope the references, online reviews, and information we provide to you in the initial meeting will speak volumes of Preston's experience, style, and professionalism. 

Does Preston bring backup equipment?

Preston typically brings a backup laptop, headphones, vinyl records, laptop harddrive, microphones and cables.

Does Preston have insurance?

Preston Foreman carries a full liability insurance policy with a coverage value of $1,000,000. We are happy to provide you or your venue with a copy of the insurance policy upon request

Final payment by personal check is due 14 days prior to the event date, cash and money orders can be paid the day of. Online & App payment arrangements can also be made. Preston currently accepts Paypal & Venmo.

Music:

Can I submit a "Do Not Play" list?

A “DO NOT PLAY” list is absolutely encouraged from every client. Preston believes a list of songs you do not like, is more valuable than a "DO PLAY" list.

How does Preston stay up-to-date on Music?

Preston belongs to a community of Radio DJ’s, working with record label reps across the globe. Preston is sent most of his music directly from record labels for review. Preston is also a member of digital music services that are exclusive to Professional DJ’s, giving him access to thousands of new and old music.
